Online Safety

Online safety is a core part of our safeguarding commitment. We provide a safe, supportive digital environment and teach our learners how to use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly. Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of SEND learners, with clear, accessible guidance and structured teaching tailored to individual understanding.

We actively safeguard against online risks, including:

• Online grooming and exploitation
• Radicalisation and extremism in line with the PREVENT duty
• Cyberbullying and online harassment
• Inappropriate content and contact
• Sharing personal information and digital footprints

Our school uses robust monitoring systems to protect our learners on school devices and networks, and any issues or concerns are raised with our designated safeguarding lead and reported on CPOMS. We work closely with parents and carers to promote safe use of technology beyond school, offering guidance and resources to support healthy, positive digital habits at home.

Our aim is to empower our learners to stay safe online, recognise and report risks, and develop respectful digital behaviour and confident decision-making skills.
