Ofsted Pre-Registration Inspection Summary
We are delighted that our Ofsted pre-registration inspection on 17 February 2025 confirmed that The Motiv8 School is likely to meet all the independent school standards when it opens.
Inspectors recognised our strong vision and expertise in supporting pupils with special educational needs, including those with social, emotional and mental health needs and significant gaps in prior learning. They praised our carefully planned curriculum, including our specialist welding and fabrication provision, personalised literacy support, and clear focus on reading, careers education and real-world learning.
The report highlighted that:
– Our curriculum is well structured, ambitious and tailored to pupils’ individual needs.
– Staff have strong SEND knowledge and receive high-quality training and support.
– Our safeguarding systems are robust, with clear policies, procedures and training.
– Behaviour expectations, anti-bullying measures and positive support strategies are well understood.
– Our assessment processes will ensure personalised learning and regular progress reviews.
– The school environment is safe, well-equipped and includes a specialist welding workshop, sports hall and outdoor space.
– British values, SMSC education and PSHE are embedded throughout the curriculum.
– Leaders demonstrate strong knowledge, effective planning and a commitment to continual improvement.
Inspectors found that our systems, staffing, resources and policies fully support the successful opening of the school, ensuring pupils’ education, safety and wellbeing are prioritised at every stage.
We are proud of this outcome and look forward to welcoming pupils to a supportive, practical and aspirational learning environment where they can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
